Critical Trajectories: Culture, Society, Intellectuals
Critical Trajectories: Culture, Society, Intellectuals brings together for the first time writings from one of the leading figures in cultural studies -- Tony Bennett The selections in the volume span the period from the late 1970s to the present, representing issues of enduring concern in Bennett's work over this period and throughout his wide-ranging intellectual career.
- Charts the extensive influence of Bennett’s thinking across the humanities and social sciences - from cultural history to museums and memory, and from Bond and popular culture to cultural policy and governance
- Tackles some of the most important subjects in cultural studies, including aesthetics, textuality, the intellectual, and the role of cultural history
- Includes a new introductory essay pinpointing Bennett’s concerns in changing intellectual and political contexts

Mission Geometry: Orbit and Constellation Design and Management (Space Technology Library)
Mission Geometry; Orbit and Constellation Design and Management (OCDM) provides greatly expanded detail on many topics first introduced in the 2 of the earlier Wertz works - Spacecraft Attitude Determination and Control (SADC) and Space Mission Analysis and Design (SMAD). If these two books got you started in mission engineering and you need more detail on the key area of Spacecraft Orbit and Attitude Systems (SOAS), then this book provides more detail in SOAS requirements definition, mission geometry, orbit and constellation design, relative motion of satellites, observation and measurement systems engineering, orbit control and management, and similar topics..

The Age of Transition: Trajectory of the World System, 1945-2025
Immanuel Wallerstein's World-System theory made a big impact on International Political Economy when it was first formulated in the early 1980s. Although subsequently criticised, the recent demise of the Soviet system's historic attempt to delink from global capitalism has provided a perhaps unanticipated confirmation of the profundity of its insights. Now with this new book, Wallerstein and a team of colleagues from the Fernand Braudel Center for the Study of Economies, Historical Systems and Civilizations take world-system theory a major step forward. .

Fundamentals of Airplane Flight Mechanics
Flight mechanics is the application of Newton's laws to the study of vehicle trajectories (performance), stability, and aerodynamic control. This text is concerned with the derivation of analytical solutions of airplane flight mechanics problems associated with flight in a vertical plane. Algorithms are presented for calculating lift, drag, pitching moment, and stability derivatives. Flight mechanics is a discipline. As such, it has equations of motion, acceptable approximations, and solution techniques for the approximate equations of motion. Once an analytical solution has been obtained, numbers are calculated in order to compare the answer with the assumptions used to derive it and to acquaint students with the sizes of the numbers. A subsonic business jet is used for these calculations. .
