Embedded Networking with CAN and CANopen (Re-Publication)
CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication protocol that was originally developed for the automobile industry. CANopen, a higher layer protocol based on CAN, provides the means to apply the ingenious CAN features to a variety of industrial-strength applications. Many users, for example in the field of medical engineering, opted for CANopen because they have to meet particularly stringent safety requirements. Providing a detailed look at both CAN and CANopen, this book examines those technologies in the context of embedded networks. There is an overview of general embedded networking and an introduction to the primary functionality provided by CANopen. Everything one needs to know to configure and operate a CANopen network using off-the-shelf components is described, along with details for those designers who want to build their own CANopen nodes. The wide variety of applications for CAN and CANopen is discussed, and instructions in developing embedded networks based on the protocol are included. Olaf Pfeiffer is a cofounder of the Embedded Systems Academy, conducts CAN and CANopen training classes, and consults clients on their embedded networking requirements. He is a regular speaker at the Embedded Systems Conference, the Real-Time and Embedded Computing show, and at the International CAN Conference. Andrew Ayre is a tutor and consultant specializing in embedded software engineering and is responsible for all PC-based software developments including PCANopen Magic at the Embedded Systems Academy. He has taught classes at Embedded University, Future University, the Real-Time and Embedded Computing Conferences and the Embedded Systems Conference.Christian Keydel is a director of the Embedded Systems Academy, where he supervises new class development and consults clients on embedded technologies including CAN and CANopen. He is a frequent speaker at the Embedded Systems Conferences and the Real-Time and Embedded Computing Conferences..

Christianity as Old as the Creation or the Gospel a Republication of the Religion of Nature
1731. Christian deist Matthew Tindal wrote Christianity as Old as the Creation In essence, Tindal takes the position that the essential truths in Christianity have always been known by all human beings since the creation of the world. According to Tindal, any claim to receiving an exclusive revelation of truth by anyone, or the church, must be tested by human reason. Any such revealed truth that cannot be verified through human reason is either invalid or nonessential in Christianity. Tindal finds that a number of church doctrines fail to pass the test of human reason but Tindal explains that the essential truths in Christianity are known naturally and universally. Tindal explains that whatever honors God and is good for mankind is in accord with God's will and should guide human behavior. This, of course, is Tindal's paraphrase of what Jesus described as love for God and love for neighbor, which Christian deists believe is the essence of Christianity.
